Kelly Jean A. Janich is a visual, multimedia Filipinx-American artist who works in animation and printmaking. From film and storyboarding to writing poetry, stories, and publishing risograph zines, Kelly Jean strives to connect with audiences through her emotional experiences and abstract, yet specific, language. A cartoonist at heart, she illustrates and writes sequential story art with an emphasis on character, shape and color.

As a printmaker, she loves to translate her cartoony, western style into traditional and contemporary printmaking mediums. Combining printmaking with 2D Animation, she aims to produce experimental animated films focusing on compelling characters and original storytelling.

Her hobbies include doing observational drawings of live concerts, sketching animals, astrophotography, and playing the ukulele and piano.
